Windows quits firefox on pressing red X button, hence previous tabs are restored on starting firefox again. Mac just closes all the tabs and keep running firefox in background with red X, so make a habit to quit firefox with cmd + q on mac to get your previous session back. Name: Benjamin Friedrich Email: benjamin.friedrich_at_gmail.com Product: Firefox Summary: file-management with firefox Comments: Yes, firefox is cool. Still I find a few things missing: * Drag-and-Drop for files ------------------------- When I drag-n-drop files in my firefox to another tab, they are not copied but opened. It would be nice, if some kind of drag-n-drop-ftp were possible. * Window splitting ------------------ It would be really cool, to be able to split the window (like in konqueror, norton commander, midnight commander.) This is so useful, wh. Name: Pete Thorn Product: Firefox Summary: Where is Session Manager in Firefox 3? Comments: Where is the Session Manager in Firefox 3? Where is the session manager in Firefox 2? I had Tabmixplus installed which made the session manager appear in the TOOLS menu. Then I disabled TMP and restarted Firefox 2 to see what I could do without TMP. The 'Session Manager' disappeared from the tools menu, but it also does not seem to be available anywhere else. When I click on Firefox's help and write in 'session' or 'crash' there is no entry. Does Firefox have its own session manager for crashes? Even more weird: I re-enabled TMP and restarted, but the session manager did not reappea. I just installed KDE4.2 some days ago, and I have a little problem with my firefox configuration: When I download a file and I open it's location, Firefox opens the folder with nautilus and not with Dolphin. I tried a lot of things I found on Internet, but nothing helped: - I change several things in about:config. - I tried to configure the applications association in the preference men. - I tried to install an extension to allow me to edit the file type associations without success. I read that I have to edit the mimetype.rdf file, and change the option for t. Name: Evan Email: evan34atmaildotcom Product: Firefox Summary: MHT file support needed in Firefox Comments: I like Firefox very much and it is now my default browser. But I wish it supported MHT files since I have a number of them from when I used Internet Explorer. Since Opera supports MHT files, why doesn't Firefox? I am experiencing some weirdo problem since some time. I don't use this machine often, so I cannot trace since when the problem is there. Problem: In Firefox Description: When a download is completed, it shows up in Downloads window. When I ask 'open containing folder', it will: -first display a warning: 'This is not a CVS folder. If you did not intend to use Cervisia, you can switch view modes within Konqueror.' -will open Cervisia Huh?? And how do I perform this 'switch view modes' within Konqueror? I looked into Yast, and there. I use Firefox 2.0.0.3 for Macintosh. In order to get Firefox to use the application of my choice to open a certain file type, I was obliged to set up to open always, and open a file, then go into the Preferences to the Manage window to change the application used for that type of file. Because I always want to be asked whether I want to open or save a file, I then had to edit the mimeTypes.rdf file in my profile to set 'Always ask' back to 'true'. As soon as I did that, the information in the Manage window in the Preferences vanished from view.
